    Dominion, Authority, Power, Mastery

    February 12, 2017

Don't allow these words to fade into the sunset of human frailty and forgetfulness. These are powerful words to live by. In the beginning satan deceived Eve, but Adam willfully transgressed the commandment of God thereby relinquishing the dominion, power and authority, given to him by God to govern or rule the earth. The authority to govern the earth was forfeited by man and could only be recovered by man. Man lost it; man had to get it back. God still owns the earth but He gave it to the sons of men to enjoy (“Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet” Ps 8:6;  “The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.” Ps 115:16 ). It’s not for satan’s enjoyment!

Adam violated God's authority by eating the forbidden fruit and lost his authority as a result - he willfully gave it to satan (see Lk 4:6). Jesus had to come as a man; He had to lay aside His position as God and become man. Man had given up his God-given authority; man had to take it back. The problem is sin. You have fallen man contending with a fallen angel/devil and his demons. In his godly sinless state, Adam had authority over satan. We see that in Jesus the man as He exercised authority and power over devils by casting them out by the power of God the Holy Ghost. He also gave authority to the disciples to do the same. That same authority and power is ours today. Sin and death entered the earth through Adam (Rom 5:12). Sin weakened man's stance in authority; death prevented him from reigning. As long as man is subject to sin (slave to sin), he is subject to the devil.

Jesus lived a sinless life. Death has no dominion over Jesus. It’s only in Jesus that we regain true authority and power in order to reign in the earth. Man was created a little lower than the angels (satan is a fallen angel), but was crowned with glory and honor and given dominion over the works of God's hands (Ps 8:4-6; Heb 2:9). The Old Covenant was a temporary patch/fix until the fullness of time had come for the Father to send Jesus. Jesus is the restorer and eternal fix of all things. Dominion, authority, and power have been restored to us by Jesus, but we must exercise it. We have the Mastery to do it! Advancing The Kingdom!

The Lord has filled Bezalel with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts.  He is a master craftsman, expert in working with gold, silver, and bronze.  He is skilled in engraving and mounting gemstones and in carving wood. He is a master at every craft. Ex 35:31-33 NLT
