Freedom at the Expense of Persecution

    January 17, 2016

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” Gal 5:13

This is the third Sunday of 2016, we have 49 Sundays remaining. Let us rejoice and be exceedingly glad in this day. “Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.” Ps 40:16.

Freedom is one of the greatest privileges we have here in the United States. It is because of that privilege that many flock to the US, both legally and illegally. Freedom is not meant for abuse but to enjoy and benefit from. To abuse freedom is to invoke slavery and bondage. Jesus came to make us free (Jn 8:32, 36). He came to make us free from the yoke and power of sin. Sin was our master until we came to Jesus. Jesus has become our Master and sin has become our past. No longer bound by a master that destroys, we serve a Master who loves us and gave Himself for us to secure a place for us in His Kingdom which is an everlasting Kingdom without end.

May these words be as goads that cement you in your walk and relationship with Jesus. This is not a time to be a weak, lukewarm, ineffective Christian. It’s time to Arise and Shine because the light of the Lord Jesus is exposing the unfruitful works of darkness inside and outside of the “Church”.

Don’t fall for the religious jargon being fed across the pulpits of America today that deviate from the TRUTH of the Gospel. There is a spirit of strong delusion that is flooding the Body of Christ, infecting many who once contended for the faith. Denominations as well as Independent Ministries are falling prey to a “hipster”, “godless”, “entertaining” generation that knows nothing about the Holiness (not the Pope) of God nor the Fear of God. It’s a cross culture generation where men look like and act like women and women look like and act like men. Roles have crossed, children are confused, and the leaders have neither sense nor conviction of the error.Where are those who will stand against the tide of deception, wickedness, and perversion of the TRUTH of God’s Holy Word? We place more emphasis on looking “sexy” rather than living/looking “Holy” – “cool” rather than “righteous”.

    ***BREAKING NEWS***

According to an article in Charisma, 2015 was the “worst year in modern history for Christian persecution.” More than 7,100 Christians were killed for faith-related reasons, and 2,400 churches were destroyed or damaged.” Gladys Juma’s husband was murdered in Kenya according to the article. “He had gone with a Pastor to “share the word of Christ” in a nearby Muslim area. Hours after the two men went missing, Gladys Juma went to the hospital nearby, where she was shown a gunnysack of hacked and burned body parts and a seared skull sitting in a burned tire rim…A few hours later, she learned that those unidentifiable victims were, in fact, her husband and the Pastor.”
