Naked and Not Ashamed PT. II

    April 16, 2017

I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.” Isa 50:6

It’s serious because it is true. The only further proof that is necessary is proving what is that good (“good” in any sense), and acceptable (fully agreeable), and perfect (complete, of labor, growth, mental and moral character) will of God as evidence by a transformed life and a renewed mind. There are no short-cuts; it’s not temporary, it’s the only way, it’s for eternity! It’s not about the latest fad or trend.

The scripture mentioned above out of Isaiah chapter fifty, verse six refers to Jesus. He gave His back to the smiters. This was not a Shakespearian stage play such as “Othello” or other work of his. This was true and this was serious. This was prophesied by Isaiah and fulfilled in the life of Christ for you and I. Christ came. He suffered and died that you and I might live victoriously. There was no other way. He suffered humiliation for us and has stated, “I Am not ashamed to call you brethren (see Heb 2:11)”. God is not ashamed to be called our God (Heb 11:16). May our naked lives never reflect being ashamed of Him.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Rom 1:16
