The Power of The Holy Ghost

    Re-Defining the Church
As we re-define the Church, we have to understand that we’re not speaking about a natural edifice or building or structure.  The Church is comprised of born-again believers that walk (live) in the authoritative Word of the Living God endued with power from on high.  Therefore, to re-define something means that it use to exist before and if it existed before what was the characteristic of its existence—P-O-W-E-R!  Power is derived from its Source - the Holy Ghost.  As we trace the roots of its origin, we’ll find that it’s enfolded within the Word of the Living God.  The power of the Holy Ghost was never sent to live and occupy a natural structure or building, He was sent to live and occupy human vessels so we can infiltrate every sphere of society to bring about change and transformation.  We are limitless in our faith due to the power that is WITH-IN that came from WITH-OUT (sent from above).

To re-define means to: a) to explain or identify the nature or essential qualities; b) to define its function or role; c) to determine or fix the boundaries or extent of it’s role or purpose.

According to the Gospel of Matthew chapter 16 verse 18: “...and on this Rock I will build My church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”  Jesus is building His Church, He’s not building a denomination, He’s not building traditions or culture of men - He’s building His Church (you and I).  We are His construction workers who have been given “tools” (i.e., hard hat―helmet of salvation, tool belt―loins girt about with truth; steel-toe-shoes―feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; etc.) to continue to build His Spiritual Building ― His Church.
