    This Is Our Watch!

    August 7, 2016

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” II Cor 11:3

Jesus is our Savior – our eternal Hero! While His work on earth is finished, the work of the Holy Ghost is still active and in force through the Church. He’s not just hovering over us (see Gen 1:2), the Spirit of God lives within us empowering us to complete the work. The assignment is simple and the mission will be completed. This is our Watch.

The Word and the Spirit move us forward in a united front in order to complete our assignment. Jesus said, “and upon this Rock I will build My Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Mt 16:18).” In other words, it doesn’t matter what the devil has done or is doing, neither he nor his demons will prevail against (have victory over) the Church. Fear not! Have Faith! Fear paralyzes; Faith has movement. Remember, the just live and walk by faith. We overcome the world even by our faith (I Jn 5:4). Nothing that is before us is greater than the One who is in us. We move forward in faith. We move upward in faith. We overcome by faith.

This faith movement takes us beyond the limitations of humanity into the possibilities of God Almighty. We know the Word, “but with God all things are possible (Mt 19:26).” From an individual perspective that could mean pursuing and accomplishing your dreams, but from a Kingdom perspective it means WIN THE WORLD TO JESUS! Heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out devils, cleanse the lepers, preach the Gospel. Nothing shall be impossible in order to complete our assignment.

Thank God for the many discoveries, technology, and increase of knowledge. They’re all amazing, amusing, and mind blowing. But if they’re not leading to the salvation of a soul it’s all deceiving. The heart of God is the same for this generation – He’s not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Our mission, as spelled out in the Gospels, is to Win people to Jesus – it’s the simplicity that is in Christ.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Pro 11:30
