  • "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."  (Ps. 118:24)

It’s Sunday, the Lord’s Day – Let’s Celebrate! Why? The Psalmist says, “For He is good: because His mercy endureth forever (Ps. 118:1).” Every generation has an opportunity to receive God’s goodness and mercy (steadfast love). His loving kindness and tender mercies are the hallmark of salvation, peace, and prosperity for every Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus gives us a reason to live this life with Confidence, Courage (the ability to do something that frightens one) and Holy Boldness. The reason is to glorify the Father by bearing or bringing forth much fruit, many souls, into the Kingdom. It is the Faith of the Son of God who loves us and gave His life for us (see Gal. 2:20) that moves us with conviction to fulfill God’s will.

Living outside of the Will of God has its obvious consequences, one of them is missing out on His goodness and mercy that endures forever to all generations. Jeremiah describes it as new every morning and great is His (God’s) faithfulness. Mercy is granted to abundantly pardon our evil thoughts/deeds and give us a fresh new start. It is imparted so that the grace of God continues to flow in our lives to help us in our time of need (Heb. 4:16).

This sin-conquering grace is sufficient for all things. God’s goodness and His mercy are for everyday. Whatever we face, whatever we go through, God’s goodness and mercy endures forever. We can all experience the goodness of God. We can all experience the mercy of God.  Everyday can be Sunday. Everyday can be celebrated. Everyday is the day that the Lord has made. We can all rejoice and be glad in it. The choice is yours. You’re alive and most of all, you’re alive to God.
